A Kanji day wheel is where the day is displayed in Japanese characters alongside English. This detail is especially common in JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) models, making them extra special for collectors and enthusiasts. A small feature with a big touch of Japanese watch culture.
Since 2023, many new Seiko 5 models have reintroduced the Kanji date wheel. The date wheel alternates between English and Kanji, allowing you to select your preferred language. The Kanji display often highlights Saturdays in blue and Sundays in red.
